Plate is Hot Rolled as compared to Sheet that is Cold Rolled.
Two terms are used to describe Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Plate - These are Quarto Plate and Continuously Produced Plate. The latter is usually referred to as CPP.
CPP is hot rolled plate up to 12mm thick that will have been coiled up during the hot rolling.
Quarto Plate is hot rolled plate over 12mm thick and will not have been coiled during production.
